Durite, a leading UK supplier of safety camera solutions for commercial vehicles, are showcasing their latest range of AHD (analogue high definition) vehicle safety products and a new, online equipment selection tool at this year’s ITTHub in Farnborough.
The full Durite range is now available in 1080p Full HD offering drivers and fleet operators crystal-clear imagery, the ultimate in visibility and safety, and providing irrefutable digital evidence of all vehicle movements and potential incidents. Plus, Durite’s vehicle camera systems now integrate with Webfleet telematics, meaning that fleet managers can remotely access camera footage from the Webfleet portal. This includes the ability to download first notification of loss (FNOL) videos.
The Durite team will also be updating operators on the latest details of London’s HGV Direct Vision Standard (DVS). It is proposed that, from October 2024, that all HGVs over 12 tonnes must be minimum ‘3 star’ rated or will need to retrofit a DVS Progressive Safe System to their vehicles to enter and operate in Greater London.
Durite’s range of DVS Compliant Safe Systems and Upgrade kits can be seamlessly integrated to equipment already in place, allowing fleets to easily adapt to new business needs and to reap the benefits of more powerful technology. And for operators seeking to be FORS Silver and to comply with DVS, the FORS Silver S6 safety requirements are essentially the same as the TfL DVS ‘Safe System’, meaning that operators can upgrade their fleet with a Durite system and comply with both standards.
To help operators select the optimum DVS system and for choosing all other vehicle safety solutions, Durite’s new online Logistics and Transport Operator support system features a unique interactive ‘Kit Selector’. This uses a simple step-by-step process for managers to easily select the optimum equipment for improved safety, compliance and cost reduction.
Marketing Manager, Veronique Vanoli explains: “Extensive customer feedback told us that finding the right safety solution for a fleet is not an easy task, especially when needing to comply with regulations or specific insurance requirements. So, we set about designing a new and simplified method for fleet buyers, managers and owners to find the right equipment for their individual business needs.”
Listing a range of vehicle types: HGV, rigid, van, waste, PSV, emergency and construction, the Durite Kit Selector provides a one-click pathway to “All-in-One” solutions including safe manoeuvring, incident recording and livestream fleet management. The new safety site also provides the latest industry news, regulatory changes and updates relevant to most commercial vehicle transport fleets.
John Nobbs, Durite’s UK Sales Manager, adds: “With so many options available on the market, this unique equipment selection tool aims to cut through the challenges and pitfalls which can sometimes lead to making the wrong equipment choice. Fleet and Transport Managers often have busy schedules, the Durite Kit Selector enables them to find the perfect solution for their business right there and then.”
Durite, a FORS Associate, has been supplying vehicle cameras for more than 20 years and has supplied more than 50,000 systems to operators across the UK.
