Motormax is working with JPE Aggregates, one of the Midlands leading suppliers of aggregates, sand and soils to the construction industry. Motormax installed a range of pioneering technology to their fleet of tippers to assist drivers and improve safety.
Safety equipment installed onto the fleet includes 8 Channel Live DVR, Forward Facing Camera, Side View Camera, Left Turn Alarm, Parking Sensors.
Stephanie Price – JPE Aggregates Managing Director explains, “All vehicles are fitted with six cameras supplied by our partners, Motormax, which includes one on the driver. If there is an incident, we can look at the footage and we can see that the driver was driving correctly, wasn’t on a mobile phone, was wearing a seat belt etc. Nine times out of ten, the driver is not at fault but we’ve come to rely on cameras more and more.”
Jonathan Haycock, Motormax Director and Co-Founder added, “Working in partnership with our customers is key. We listen to their challenges and work with them to provide solutions. Our safety equipment gives JPE Aggregates the technology to ensure their fleet runs safely and efficiently. For example our live DVR provides operators with one easy-to-use platform – from on-demand vehicle footage, live vehicle GPS, personalised notifications and reporting.”
JPE has developed its business of supplying aggregates, groundworks and site clearance over a period of more than 20 years. The company has been involved in many of the leading projects in the Midlands area, including the Black Country Route, Trent Valley Four Tracking Project (TV4), the M6 Toll Road and the M6 hard shoulder strengthening.
