New FORS Going for Bronze interactive webinar launched

Bronze

FORS is helping operators gain and maintain FORS Bronze accreditation with the launch of a new live Going for Bronze webinar.

The FORS Going for Bronze live webinar will allow delegates to participate from  anywhere in the country and has been introduced to make life easier for new members preparing for their first FORS audit, and for existing members renewing their Bronze accreditation.

The new Going for Bronze webinar demonstrates an ongoing commitment from FORS to offer flexible support to its members. The online sessions will help FORS members wishing to minimise their environmental impact, removing the need for delegates to travel, therefore reducing CO2 emissions while saving time and money.

The new one-hour FORS webinars are aimed at transport managers and operational staff preparing their operating centre’s Bronze audit, the first stage of the FORS accreditation process.

The sessions will talk delegates through the accreditation process, from booking an audit through to undertaking the audit itself, as well as provide specific guidance about some of the key requirements set out in the FORS Standard that must be met in order to pass the Bronze audit.

The webinar will offer advice on the common pitfalls and how to avoid these and will also guide members through the numerous tools available to help prepare for the audit. Sonia Hayward, FORS manager, said: “The webinar is a great addition to the online FORS Bronze audit toolkit and will be of great value to new members preparing for their first audit.

“We hope that the flexibility of a webinar means members will sign up to maximise their chances of getting their audit right first time. The sessions will  highlight what evidence the auditors will be looking for and what to expect on the day, as well as help members make the most of the FORS benefits, such as online templates, guides, toolkits and toolbox talks.”

The Going for Bronze webinar is part of a new series of interactive sessions from FORS, which will also include a FORS Going for Silver and  Gold webinar, to support members as they progress through  FORS accreditation levels.

The webinars will run alongside the popular Going for Bronze and Going for Silver and Gold classroom-based workshops, held at locations across the UK.

Sonia Hayward added, “Our ‘Going for Bronze and Going for Silver and Gold’ classroom sessions continue to be popular. However, the webinars offer a flexible alternative option for people who cannot make the classroom dates, helping to reduce time away from the office and minimise the environmental impacts associated with travelling.”
