The National Trailer & Towing Association (NTTA) has introduced the UK’s first-ever free trailer safety check programme for users of braked and un-braked trailers up to 3,500kg gross weight.
While the safety check programme is a visual inspection only, the check provides an overview of the general safety of your trailer. Should any safety issues arise, concerns will be highlighted and you will be given the opportunity to have them rectified on site.
Items inspected include lights, electrics, brake cables, tyres, wheel alignment, drawbar equipment, general body condition and more besides. The NTTA will keep a record of all findings.
